About Me :)

Hey y’all! My name’s Megan, and I’m currently a college student in Missouri working in events! You could probably say I’m a Kansas girl by heart, but there’s more to me than that.

I love my starry skies, Chevy trucks and cowboys just as much as I do my wedges, makeup and chick flicks. I’m an avid Royals fan – comes with the territory of being from Kansas City, Pinterest aficionado, and love to be outdoors. My hobbies include Netflix, making cupcakes, and working out. My family and friends are everything to me, so I’m sure you’ll hear lots about them as time goes on! I’m super organized and a tad bit of a perfectionist, so you can add list making to my hobbies 🙂

About 7 years ago I was diagnosed with an eating disorder after having been sick almost my whole life. Following a trip to treatment, I started this blog as a way to keep people informed as to what was going on with me. It quickly became therapeutic for me, as it was a great way for me to process what I was thinking and how I was doing.

Something that has always been really important to me and plays a huge role in keeping my recovery on track is health and fitness. When I turn my focus to what my body is capable of and pushing it to new levels in a healthy way instead of what it can’t do, my whole outlook changes. I want to get stronger and in order to get stronger you have to be eating. I couldn’t sustain my workouts and achieve the goals I’ve set if I didn’t fuel my body right. Now, I love chocolate and ice cream just as much as the next person (in fact, ice cream was dinner last night), overall I eat pretty clean. Everything in moderation 🙂

As my recovery progressed I had less and less to write because I had made the blog solely about my recovery, and I started getting bored. However, I still love blogging, so I’m relaunching it! Instead of all about my recovery, it’ll be all about my life. The ups, the downs, the food, the working out, the adventures, and my recovery. All of my other posts are still here (they can be found under “Recovery.”). I’m just expanding! Obviously, for now it’s a work in progress, but as time goes you’ll be able to find everything from fun recipes I’m trying to crazy workouts I’ve gotten myself into, races I’m running in to weekend adventures with friends and life lessons learned.

I’m so excited to see what this can become!! So here we go! 🙂 🙂
