The last couple weeks have been crazy! I’ve had like four posts I’ve wanted to put up, but haven’t found the time or energy to do it! But I’m working on them!
Last week I learned a very valuable lesson. Take your meds kids! I didn’t intentionally not take them. What happened was I have an alarm set for 10pm every night for me to take my meds. However, I kept falling asleep before 10, so for 3 days in a row I didn’t take them. Bad idea! I felt like crap – headache, no appetite, light headed. No bueno! Thankfully, when I took them again, I was good within a couple days! 🙂 🙂 I learned my lesson though….
Other than that I don’t really have anything to add to my recovery part of this. Things have been going really well! I’m coming up on my 3 year anniversary, which I’m super excited about!!
Then I got my wisdom teeth out last week. It really hasn’t been that bad. I just don’t like being slowed down, and I’m tired of eating like a 2 year old and not being able to workout. The pain hasn’t been bad at all (only took 4 ibuprofen today instead of what I have been taking), however, I have learned that I take a few things for granted:
- Being able to sneeze without wincing in pain
- Being able to talk without it hurting after awhile
- Being able to poop without feeling like my mouth is going to burst (TMI? Probably. Is it true? Absolutely.)
- Being able to put makeup on (because every girl knows it’s a requirement to open your mouth while putting on mascara)
- Bending over to pick something else without feeling like I’m going to pop my stitches
- Being able to (poorly) sing in the car
I also learned I clinch my teeth when I sleep which leaves for a very uncomfortable morning until it wears off! I haven’t quite figured out how to fix that problem though….
Unfortunately for everyone else, I didn’t have any funny high on meds stories. Although, it was kind of funny because I took my hair down before they did the surgery so my head would lie flat. I got home a couple hours later and realized my hair was back up but had no recollection of doing it! I was half convinced the doctor did it (I don’t know if you reading these or not but I was ready to tell you to add hair stylist to your resume!) The next day I remembered putting it up when she was giving me my instructions, which isn’t nearly as good of a story! I think I’m still going to go with the fact that he did it 🙂
So in the meantime, I have the week to get ahead on homework and keep eating baby food, while I’m not working out or eating trail mix (which is what I’ve been craving for days now for some reason!). Not that I’m bitter about it at all! 🙂
