So much has happened since my last post; it’s unreal! Here we go!
- I decided to drop out of school. It may be a permanent thing, maybe I’ll go back in a few years. But for the meantime, it’s not in my plan. I half-assed this semester, and my grades showed it. College is too expensive to not put your all into. However, I’m soo tired of hearing “college isn’t for everyone.” Right, it isn’t. But that makes it sound like I’m not good enough for it. I am. It’s just my decision to take some time off. Do I know what I want to do with the rest of my life? No, that’s part of why I decided to stop school. I’ve done some thinking and I don’t know as if I’ve really gotten anywhere. For the time being, I’ll stay here in Manhattan at GTM and see where that leads me.
- My health/fitness has kind of gone to shit the last couple of months, so I’m focusing on getting that back as a focus. Tomorrow, I’m starting Insanity: Max 30. I’m also trying Shakeology, which is the meal replacement from Beachbody. I don’t know if it’ll be worth it, so I only got a month supply, but the people that use it swear by it. If, at the end of the month, I like it, I’ll keep getting it. I’ve also made the decision to cut out sugar from my diet. It’s not a “behavior” or anything eating disorder related. Sugar addiction is a very real thing haha My eating habits have been absolutely awful lately. I’m tired of feeling like crap and not having the energy. I know it’s super cliché to start it all at the first of the year, but whatever. I guess I’m a cliché! For the next month, my focus is going to be on working out, getting in my Shakeology, following the 21 Day Fix meal plan and staying away from sugar. I’m really excited about it! 🙂
- But the best part….I GOT A PUPPY!! Tucker is currently sitting on the floor next to me curled up in his adorable little fluffy ball taking a nap. He’s a golden retriever mutt that I got a few weeks ago, although he’s black. He’s growing up so fast!!! He got up earlier to walk over to his water bowl and I noticed how big his legs have gotten. Everyone is taking bets as to how big he is going to be. There’s everything from 60-100 lbs. I’m thinking he’ll be more in the 70 lb range though, which is fine with me! He’s learned his name, sit, stay is questionable and lay down is just really hard! We’ve been working on it for a couple weeks, and he still just doesn’t understand it, but we’re getting there. He’s learning the rules in the house, slowly but surely. He’s a really good puppy!
That’s the gist of the last couple of months. Of course there have been other things, but those will take too long to explain 🙂 I’m going to try to be better at keeping up with this blog! I was so excited about it when I relaunched it, but I haven’t done much with it sense. I’m hoping that will change….at least that’s my plan.
I hope y’all have a great New Year!
